Upcoming Events at the Coconino Center for the Arts! Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

November 2nd - Po’ Girl in Concert - a folksy-jazz blues quintet. 7:30pm. Tickets are available online, and by phone at (928) 779-2300 - at $15/advance and $20/day of show. Tickets are also available at these outlets in Flagstaff: Arizona Music Pro and Cedar Music.

The Splendor of Chaos - This new exhibition asked local artists to give us their view of chaos and its relationship to harmony. Come witness their creations in response to this chaotic theme in a wholly different display. For a schedule, go to the CCA website.

KNAU/NPR Public Forum - November 13, 7pm-9pm, FREE. KNAU seeks input from the community on their forthcoming local news series.

It’s Elemental - November 17, 6pm-8pm, FREE. Opening Reception for popular annual fine crafts exhibition.

Tom Sheeley in Concert - November 17, 8pm. Local classical guitarist takes the stage. This concert begins immediately following the Opening Reception for the exhibition, It’s Elemental, so come early! Tickets for this concert are $10/advance, and $12/door.

Flagstaff First Friday Artwalk Thursday, October 25th, 2007

First Friday’s, something that all Flagstaffians or Flagites (the correct term is still, I believe, under discussion…) look forward to, no matter what the weather! What a fun community event. Come downtown to partake in wine, hors d’oeuvres and random refreshments - view magnificent artwork, rub shoulders with local artists and just hang out. Be sure and visit the host gallery - The Artists Gallery on N. San Francisco.

The Artists Gallery is a fine arts and crafts cooperative. Operating as an artists cooperative for fifteen years, The Artists Gallery provides a rare opportunity for the public to view the works of some of the Southwest’s finest artisans. This unique gallery boasts professional artists specializing in photography, jewelry, painting, stoneware, ceramic art, textile designs, stained glass, metalwork, sculpture and woodworking.
