If you are looking for information on the budget crisis, try the Arizona State Parks Foundation website. This non-profit was created to advocate for Arizona State Parks. www.arizonastateparksfoundation.org . The best thing to do is contact your Arizona State Legislators, the Foundation website has a link to help you do this.

**Note** We are especially needing volunteers as we are coming into our busy season and our part-time Rangers have been let go due to the budget situation. For more information, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Ranger Nikki Lober nlober@azstateparks.gov

Congratulations El Capitan Fresh Mexican Grill! Monday, May 4th, 2009

Flagstaff, AZ: Congratulations to one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants - El Capitan Fresh Mexican Grill for being voted Best Salsa and Best Tacos in the latest edition of Best of NAU.

The NAU Lumberjack runs this survey every year, and encourages the local Flagstaff community, students, faculty & staff to vote on their favorites.

Of course, we also love El Capitan, and try to make it over regularly for a fresh & delicious Mexican feast!

Flagstaff, AZ: The inspiration for what I do comes from an appreciation for beauty
found in the rich color variations and original design patterns of ethnic
cultures, nature, and every day observations.

My Persian heritage along with years spent living in and visiting
countries such as Iran, Egypt, Spain, and Greece gave me the
opportunity to observe and gather much of the influence seen in my
jewelry. Flagstaff, Arizona, my current home, is also a source of
constant inspiration - many aspects of which are reflected in my work.

My jewelry showcases beads, glass, pottery, wire, silver, and copper in
such a way as to capture the utmost beauty of its parts.

Visit the website to view more of her beautiful jewelry! Support Local Artists!

Thank you for your interest, Nadia Sperry
